From Day 8 to 20th Leaving Delhi to Himalayan Mountains to South India

So is been few weeks since my last post. limited with internet access and limited energy since i was sick so here is a brief description of the adventures this past 2 weeks!

Engaged to leave the chaotic city of New Delhi ( paharganj ) as we left delhi we got caught up in the rain and with the uncertainty of making a decision to either leave to rishikesh and visit my guruji buphinder or to go to manali mountains so after finding out the tourist tickets office was closed we then chose to leave to manali and from there head to rishikesh on our way back to delhi to leave to hyderabad.

Meanwhile we waited to board our bus celeina the dog avenger is on the rescue giving street dogs food and milk

also spotted few characters around the crazy streets of delhi such as this 70s style kid and the copy of castro and people getting wet in the rain..

We landed safe in manali after crossing the must dangerous road towards the rotam pass in the himalayan kulu valley and parvati valley the view was epic and is one of my favorite roads in the world..

Sandy and i got a nice room exactly at the same spot i stayed last year when i was here with bri and solar in this beautiful town up the town of manali called vashist is a small tibetan community town more focused towards trekkers and temple seekers also there are some hot springs but are kind of tripy to go in sometimes..

The valley is located in what is called Kulu Valley and is filled with ganga plants everywhere now i wonder why they call it the valley of the gods..

Area is filled with beautiful temples and old structures specially this one temple you go inside a cave and has a "footprint" of the god itself :)

The first days we stayed in manali we got really sick, sandy celeina and myself got this crazy diarrea but mine followed with a highly fever and body ache i couldn't move for days i slept over 27 hours or more goodthing i had my good friends taking care of me bringing me medicine and food. i took some chinese herbal medicine sandy brought from china and helped a lot..

after the recovery we slowly shifted to explore around the area, we found a really nice crystal shop and sandy bought two giant crystals to use as pendants and i bought a polished crystal to take with me on my pocket.

the guy at the crystal shop was very nice he is from rajastan state and had good intuition about many things, also i dreamed of him and sandy and i woke up at 4 am and we both were like i just had a dream about the crystal guy.. so nice synchronizities..

After exploring few days and getting to know the whole town i made friends with all the shop owners and i got to do my daily chai routine along with fruit drinks and the daily rainbow cafe breakfast / lunch taking it very easy chilled in the fresh mountains relaxing and charging up to the crystal clear energy around the valley..

We hanged out with the guys at the juice spot and with the giant rabits and around vashist village

This is the view from Vashist valley into the hot spring area and the local shops

The temple guardians :)

After few days when we were all feeling better we went to the famous waterfalls

and this is what we found!!

The road to the waterfalls was beautiful surrounded by tall trees and being in top fo the mountain has such much radiance there is also a nice temple and few post around was beautiful trek to get there..

some of the temples surrounding the waterfalls and the beautiful scenery

Beautiful girl from ladak mountains

some shots around the mountain

So after been a few days in manali we needed to leave back to delhi but took a brief detour to Dharamsala since we didnt hear from promoter as we took our bus to delhi it was a very very quick stop and met with wonderful people..
The bus ride was epic met up with this guy that works for Kellogs and he was talking about it to the whole bus he was very enthusiastic about working for them and i ate all his samples :) after driving for few hours the bus engine blew up and we were stuck in the middle of nowhere, so the whole bus was chilling outside enjoying the weather and making funny comments about indian buses and experiences of india then we met up with our good friend Alessandra a beautiful soul from brazil traveling for while around india.. after waiting for few hours bus arrived and our storie continue we got to Dharamsala and found a nice room on top of the village where we chilled for few days before we left back to delhi.

Dharamsala is the city where dalai lama is been on exile for over 30 years so the whole town is a tibetan monastery on top of the beautiful mountains

Dalai Lama temple in exile this is where he lives when he is not traveling..

So with that includes our trip to the mountains and we headed back to delhi the bus ride was one of the must horrific experiences i ever had driving along himalayan mountains my head was bouncing 200bpm and at one point the bus jumped and i hurt my arm as i was swing to the window was crazy hahaha but was lovely experience i left the bus with a crazy neck pain along with a shoulder pain as well. now it feels better

Leaving delhi to now be in Hyderabad getting ready to play for secret party tomorrow night!!

Boom!

  1. Really nicely written trip experience. Snaps are really good, and some of them are just awesome. I met both of this guy(Egnogra and Ding) at Delhi, and had some good time at the breakfast time, and shared some memories as I was just returning from the "The Amarnath Yatra", the holy cave of lord Shiva. :) And departed by wishing each other Happy journy. ;)
