Blessings Psychonauts!!
It's been a while since I have not updated this blog page, and from now on this blog will strictly be used as a digital log of my expeditions across the world and spreading light on the topics that have always captivated me such as:
Transhumanism + Shamanism + Psychedelic Culture + Revival of Sacred Plants + Indigenous Revival + and more!!
This blog post is inspired by the concept of a Noble Savage, a theory that relates to un-contacted tribes mostly in the Amazon basin, as peaceful loving societies, something that cultural anthropologist are still trying to fit the puzzle pieces and decode the mind and the culture of humanity's past.
I start off with the oldest culture in the America's Sechin Valley.
During my expedition to the Sacred Valley of Sechin, in what is known as the oldest civilization in the America's, off the records since "CARAL-SUPE" is technically the oldest civilization in the America's anyways thats a complete different subject that id like to discuss on a separate blog, but for now we will stick on the subject of war and our perception of peaceful loving societies in Earth's remote past..
As we look into the oldest recorded history ( archeologically speaking ) we see traces of "war" "destruction" "sacrifice" of course the perception of war and destruction were seen completely different to the people's of the ancient past, seen as sacrament of blood for the continuation of the natural cycles of life, god gives us all a heart and at one point we have to give it back to him..
This way of thinking has perplexed western societies since the beginning of the colonization of tribes and cultures across the world.
As you can see on the image below, war has existed deep in the psychology of human settlements, for whatever their reason and belief are, the biological program running humanity's behavior has always existed since the primordial ooze of creation..
The Ancient civilization that flourished in the valley of Sechin practiced ritualistic sacrifice, severing heads from other tribes, as you can see the displays of cutting heads while playing ritual music has been a practice that extends as far as 5300 years into the past.
This idea of peaceful civilizations shatters our romanticized utopian views of humanities past, something we humans always long to be something we are not or that goes beyond something to long for..
To my own experience before heading to this remote archeological place in the middle of nowhere, without infrastructure or even barely a fence to protect from intruders or tomb raiders, i was highly excited to encounter a peaceful lemurian traces of utopian civilization, what i found in this place was the complete opposite, a civilization that appears to be ruled by war and conquest, this brought many questions to my own research of looking for evidence of lost civilization not ignoring the archeological record and focus on small details and overly popularizing them as something "magical or supernatural"
Traces of tattoo markings and tribal signatures perhaps claiming social status and or political influence, are clearly visible.
Clearly humans have been running the same behavioral patterns since earths remote past during the creation of human cultures and settlements, now in modern day societies we replicate the same behavioral and cultural patterns like tattooing our bodies to reflect our believes upon other people.
What do you see in this photograph? archeologist tell us it's severed heads part of a ritualistic offering to the gods, capturing rivaling tribes.
Some of the heads display features of tears..
This is the view from one of the top terraces overseeing the acropolis and the central ceremonial ground.
Dance, fire and sacrificial ritual seems to be one of the main core beliefs of our ancestral past, in the begging i was skeptical at first about all the archetype symbology carved out into stone, so i checked other sechin archeological sites such as Sechin Bajo and Sechin Alto all stretching around the sacred valley.
The other nearby sites according to the archeological record depict the same patterns of sacrificial and ritualistic behavior.
A lot of this sacred centers are still buried since the fall of this mysterious civilization, it was with extreme awe to be able to get a glimpse into our ancestral heritage and to be able to learn and transmute this wisdom into our 21st century program..
Scattered pieces of Clay pottery ranging from various millenniums, the Peruvian government does not have the funds to engage into academical research to fully investigate or to protect this patrimony of humanity.
Most of the building structures were made utilizing local materials such in this case classic "Adobe" type structural walls. the very own method still implemented in modern day rural communities.
Over the other side of the valley we can see the Panamerican highway that stretches from continental USA, towards the Patagonia South America, both worlds merging the industrialized model of western societies influencing the mestizo populations of this great continent..
A clear view of this Adobe Clay structural city, that has been buried by the Peruvian coastal sand storms for over millennia ago..
An interesting totem style head, portraying a very peculiar Shaman or Grandfather, perhaps as a visionary leader of some sort.
( do you see that his arms are missing? )
Found a couple of shells the question is how did this objects reached here, by pilgrims, as offerings? an idea that popped to my mind was that according to the sunken continent theory, various archeological sites scattered across the world were at one point sunken in the depths of the oceans, was Sechin Bajo a once powerful ancient civilization that stretches thousands and thousands of years ago?
From an Archeological and touristic standpoint this Ancient Sites are if not completely erased from the mind of the massive influx of touristic industries, including the locals perplexed by this "freak" having knowledge and understanding of their ancestral past, i was seen more of an oddity rather than with understanding..
In order to reach this hidden jewel, i hired an autotaxi or bicycle taxi for the day, utilizing older maps and geological locations and my iphone and a gps locator i was able to locate this ancient sites..
A replica of a once powerful thriving Sechin civilization, completely forgotten and misunderstood by western archeologist and deleted by their local descendants, turned their powerful religious and ceremonial centers into lost relics, cursed lands and money factories for the exploitation of tourism values..
A sadden and tragic lost of wisdom and understanding that have slowly been forgotten from the mind's of the people, perhaps now is the time of an awakening of consciousness, look into our past and learn in order to stop repeating our patterns and co-create a more conscious society.
The question is what have we learned during this so called civilization we humans have created, with the advancements of technology and information we can now have access to incredible amounts of research material and field expeditions to this remote centers of the planet, something that within the last 50 years have opened a doorway of understanding of who we were and where are we heading as species..
Are humans on a path of self destruction as we can clearly see in the archeological record of our past? is the noble savage theory correct?
even in the depths of the amazon basin, un-contacted tribes are in constant war with each other capturing woman from other tribes and the ones that have the weapons and technology become the dominant specie.
Are we seeing a reflection into what is happening to our day to day society, as the ingenuity of man to create can give us the power to ingenuity destroy, are we bound to this Gaian laws of self replicating and destroying organisms?
Are we bound to this laws eternally or can we change them? can we truly deprogram our minds? can we truly become a peaceful loving society?
With the Advancements of technology and genetics the day will come when man alter their biological structure and recreate itself into ways you cannot imagine!! Can we then use this very own technologies to eradicate the genes of violence? will we loose our identity as a specie if we get rid of the gene for violence?
We are truly in the brink of new and exciting discoveries as we write a new chapter in the human experience, we have finally removed the shackles of religious dominance but we are now facing a new threat which is from government control and the manipulation of what we eat and consume.
As a last reflection i would like to ask you this question, do you think that we have become less violent? is our civilization heading towards an utopian society? or are we heading into the fire pits of this trash society we have co-created happily together..
Until the next one! Happy Bliss!
