Travel Log 67 to 77 * Hồ Chí Minh towards Nha Trang Vietnam paradise coast!!

Namaste!! We departed our beloved Cambodia from Siem Reap Rafa and myself while Dana and Machiko-San left to the cambodian beach town of sihanoukville to swim with fluorescence fish, we stayed a few extra days in siemp reap because rafa was not feeling well so we stayed with dr fish healing rafa
Then next day we left on an overnight bus from Siemp Reap straight to Ho Chi Minh the bus ride was super mellow nice confortable seats not bad actually..
The Cambodia-Vietnam Border was the must bizarre border crossing i ever had, our passports were taken by a motorcyle miles before we arrived into the border then by the time we got there, we never saw an inmigration official we just went to a window to pick up our passports it was surreal then we went into the customs and we put our bags into the rolling band and it rang and the guy smile then i went into the metal detector with all my phones and gadgets and stuff and it rang like crazy and i got another smile and said welcome to vietnam no checking no hustling..
We arrived in Vietnam and it was so different than cambodia, one there are millions of millions of motobikes like nothing i ever seen, rivers of bikes and the street hustling was more intense beyond levels, specially the people selling glasses they follow you for hours!! We had this whole thing about "Cambodia people so naaaaiceee" so in Vietnam was " Vietnam people so naice Sometimes! " as soon as we arrived to the city this taxi driver pulled to the bus and was trying to make me go with him i said my price of what i thought was right he was trying to get 10US dls to drive us to our hotel he said was 10 kilometers away so in the rush and tiredness and we were in a group with a few australians we decided ok to go finding out later that the bus dropeed us off exactly 1 minute walk to my hotel and the guy drove us around for long time tricking us the whole time.. so live and learn!. We then as we were walking into the main backpackers area this kid with crazy hair was like hey hey come with me i take you hotel so i was like ok i check 10US for room sounded nice to then realize the room was in the 7th floor but it had nice view and fast net access is all i needed rafa all he needed was a tv and an airconditioner so we agree to later find out the place was a nightmare.. for us low key it was ok but we read the reviews of the past guests and were horrified of this place, i just went with the flow and let things roll no problem. dana and machiko then arrived the next day and stayed on the same street but in a different hotel more nice same price we just stayed in our because we were lazy to move around we just wanted to chill.. We then explore the city with Dana and Machiko-San we explored the wild streets of Ho Chi Minh to find them extremely fun! we explored the market and dana delighted our palets with great vietnamese food and amazing durian drinks everybody seem to stare at me really hard more or less like india but different they seem to really enjoy seeing something like me around, so we had fun with the people and smile at them and play with them and bring the high vibe to the people of vietnam!
We went to see the old notradam cathedral was nice also..
As we were waiting on the main central plaza everybody wanted to take a picture we us so we had a blast posing around for the vietnam people! We then explored other street odysseys like military old school uniform guys and ultra communist fanatism
This guy is on the money bill and i call him papa cause we got same beard :)
Supa famous vietnamese coffee made by the intestinal engine of the poor weasel as he shits he makes the coffee
here hanging out at the communist party
with our luck we had the chance to experience Vietnam's independence day so we received a top secret transmission that we were all to be reunited at the port to watch the fireworks which was freakin awesome!!! To then find out that the ultimate rivers of bikes lead to one place the fireworks place we were in shock to see millions of motobikes waiting to see the fireworks and imagine us walking around they were watching us so intensely we felt so tripped out it was super fun!!
we took pictures with the people of vietnam!! and hanging out with the local tribe enjoying a laugh or two..
took pictures with the random street kids as i was taking pictures with them i could feel their small hands digging my pockets thinking i was some dumb tourist as i let them dig further i then grab their hands inside of them and was like hello!!! look what we got!!!
we then met up with barrat and his wife Azuka-san and went out for drinks at the local bars to then later be fooled into this crazy trap of 2 drinks plus one free scam to later find out we were scamed and they try to make us pay again one more of this local scams so next time u come to vietnam just got to a small street pub not into one of those full of tourist spots wait what the hell we were doing there on the first place? jejejejejej anyways we took goodnight sleep and we explore the city around and we checked out from our hotels usually in vietnam if you want to check out later than 12 you pay an extra service so we figured me and rafa that we pay an extra 3 dls which is wayyyy more than what we should paid which we only stayed there 2 hours from check out time to then i was confronted by the crazy old lady as i was explaining our situation and since i had a background file on this people i knew i had to handle it shanti shanti so i offered to pay 4 dls extra thats a lot of extra cash but it was a gesture dana and machiko paid only 2 dls we paid 4 but no the crazy lady wanted 5 so i said no we offered you allready extra as she was screaming from 1 to 10 she told me to get out and trowed me a fucking hammer in my face so i was able to dodge the flying iron tool and was in shock she tried to kill me for 1 dalla!!! i left the place right across it to the travel agency where we had sheltered until our bus came was super trippy experience so next time you come to ho chi min city never stay at this f up place!!
We then went around and had great Pho soup snap few pics more with the locals and walked around and drinks and stuff to then get ready to take our bus to Nah Trang the coast beach town of vietnam paradise..
We then found our bus and it was awesome it was a sleeper bus so all beds were all the way reclined to the bottom well almost.. we had some trippy adventure inside as rafa chose the wrong seat when he later then realized the first seat he was was the best option but anyways one of those rafas self adventures..
We then arrived to Nah Trang and found a really nice guesthouse near the beach we explored around the city and into the villages nearby to find the waterfalls we went deep into forest jungle to find this waterfalls and as i was walking inside i imagine the war and how crazy it could had been walking around this place not knowing when you are going to die was actually a very intense experience..
The nature was awesome we were all very tired and almost ready to blame dana for bring us all the way there cause we were all very tired so then dana screamed look here!! and we found the first waterfall we jumped inside and was sooooooooooo awesome
here is rafa being refreshed inside
i dont have pictures of the other waterfalls since my camera and my pants were inside danas bag and couldnt get it out but i get pictures of that soon we found this big waterfall and kids were jumping from the rocks and dana and rafa and barrat followed me i have a big fear of jumping so i was afraid but dana helped me to overcome and i jumped from the smaller one which was a big big step for me!
The moto ride was awesome the scenery is beautiful and we love so much vietnam!! we then went to the ocean later for evening sunset and swim in the crazy warm ocean i felt i was inside a bathtub sauna i loved it!!!! we then met this two people while we were swimming playing ball this woman from norway and her friend from vietnam they were both students in the university studying fish industry something so then we made plans for all of us to go dinner since the local vietnamese girl was going to delight us with her knowledge of vietnamese food and wow she did we had an amazing dinner was off the hook!!! went back to our hotels and sleep sleep.. now is 11:12 am and i am ready to start my day go around snorkeling and enjoying another day here!! big big love Memo-san
